Baseball Recap: Whitehall-Yearling Comes Up Short

Whitehall-Yearling lost to Buckeye Valley two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Rams lost 16-2 to the Barons. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Aleczander Gordon made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

Whitehall-Yearling's loss dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Buckeye Valley, they pushed their record up to 18-3 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Whitehall-Yearling will challenge Grandview Heights at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. The Rams' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bobcats have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season. As for Buckeye Valley, they will square off against Newark at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Barons 3.5, the Wildcats 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
