Hillcrest takes loss despite strong efforts from Kehonia Bradley and Arreon "Tweety" Lopez

If the Hillcrest Jaguars were feeling good off their 47-20 takedown of the W.S. Neal Eagles on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. 2024 welcomed Hillcrest with a 33-11 loss courtesy of Straughn on Thursday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Hillcrest has scored all season.

Despite the defeat, Hillcrest had strong showings from Arreon "Tweety" Lopez, who scored four points along with seven rebounds, and Kehonia Bradley, who scored no points. Bradley hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games.

Hillcrest's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Straughn, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5.

Hillcrest's road trip will continue as they head out to face Jackson at 6:00 p.m. on January 6th. As for Straughn, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Pleasant Home at 5:30 p.m.
