Beaver Local entered their tilt with East Liverpool on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the East Liverpool Potters by a score of 69-62. This was a revenge game for the Beavers: when they faced off against the Potters back in December of 2024, they had to take a 62-53 defeat.

Beaver Local was led to victory by Owen Hill and Luke Rettos. Hill dropped a double-double on 25 points and 14 rebounds, while Rettos went 7 for 11 en route to 17 points and eight boards. Another player making a difference was Matthew Anderson, who posted six points.

East Liverpool's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nate Birch, who went 8 of 15 on his way to 18 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Quintin Conrad, who went 6 for 12 en route to 16 points and eight assists.

Beaver Local is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.7 points per game. As for East Liverpool, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-4.

Beaver Local didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 63-55 loss against Cambridge on the 25th. East Liverpool has also already played their next match, a 60-58 defeat against St. Clairsville on the 25th.
