Basketball Recap: Daniel Boone Comes Up Short

Daniel Boone was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They lost 72-49 to the Science Hill Hilltoppers. While losing is never fun, the Trailblazers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 218th, while the Hilltoppers are ranked 23rd).

Daniel Boone's defeat dropped their record down to 6-22. As for Science Hill, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 22-6.

Daniel Boone wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 75-61 loss against Dobyns-Bennett on the 24th. Science Hill will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on West Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on November 7th. One thing working in Science Hill's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests.
