Basketball Recap: Riverside Christian Takes a Loss

Riverside Christian was the 58-33 winner over Cornerstone Academy when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Riverside Christian Wranglers fell 66-55 to the Cornerstone Academy Cougars on Friday.

Joa Walters continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Cornerstone Academy, dropping a double-double on 28 points and 14 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah Whing, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.

Riverside Christian dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Cornerstone Academy, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Riverside Christian will venture away from home to square off against Countryside Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cornerstone Academy, they will host Ocala Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cornerstone Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.8 points per game this season.
