Baseball Recap: Jefferson Area Comes Up Short

Jefferson Area lost against Madison on Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Falcons lost 11-4 to the Blue Streaks. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jefferson Area saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tate Hudson, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI. Another was Michael Riffle, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Jefferson Area's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Madison, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jefferson Area will welcome St. John at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Madison, they will be playing at home against Edgewood at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
