Soccer Recap: Tustin Comes Up Short

Tustin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the Valencia Tigers, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, the Tillers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 906th, while the Tigers are ranked 19th).

Tustin's loss dropped their record down to 2-14-1. As for Valencia, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3-1 record this season.

Tustin will venture away from home to take on Godinez Fundamental at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Godinez Fundamental's last four contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Valencia, they will welcome Fullerton at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Valencia is facing Fullerton at the right time seeing as Fullerton is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
