Shawnee Mission West lost against Olathe West back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Vikings lost 3-0 to the Owls.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-18, 25-4.

Shawnee Mission West's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6-2. As for Olathe West, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-3.

Looking ahead, Shawnee Mission West will be taking part in a tournament against Basehor-Linwood at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Olathe West, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Lawrence at 6:30 p.m.
