Baseball Recap: Lafayette County Comes Up Short

Lafayette County entered their game against Holden on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Huskers fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 4-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-3 on April 7th.

This is the second loss in a row for Lafayette County and nudges their season record down to 9-8. As for Holden, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Lafayette County has already played their next contest (against Richmond), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Holden, they have also already played their next game, a 9-4 win against Lexington on the 29th.
