Cabool typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Willow Springs proved too difficult a challenge. They had just enough and edged the Cabool Bulldogs out 3-2. That's more bragging rights for the Bears, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (112-104) Willow Springs actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The final score came out to 25-27, 25-22, 12-25, 25-23, 17-15.

Despite the loss, Cabool still got an impressive performance from Nataleigh Cornelius, who had 22 digs. Cornelius is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in the last four games she's played dating back to last season.

Willow Springs has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 23-7-2 record this season. As for Cabool, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 29-6.
