Basketball Game Preview: Green Bulldogs vs. Hoover Vikings

Green and Hoover are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Green Bulldogs will take on the Hoover Vikings at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Green will be strutting in after a victory while Hoover will be coming in after a defeat.

On Wednesday, everything went Green's way against Howland as Green made off with a 64-42 win. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Hoover unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 51-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Jackson.

Green pushed their record up to 13-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.6 points per game. As for Hoover, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-7.

Everything came up roses for Green against Hoover in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 55-22 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Green since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
