Preview: Wayne Warriors vs. Trotwood-Madison Rams
Wayne is on a eight-game streak of home wins, while Trotwood-Madison is on a six-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Wayne Warriors will take on the Trotwood-Madison Rams at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Friday, Wayne strolled past Fairmont with points to spare, taking the game 55-38.
Meanwhile, Trotwood-Madison sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 58-55 win over Mansfield Senior on Saturday.
Trotwood-Madison's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tim Carpenter, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks. Marlon Howard Jr. was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with two steals.
Wayne has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 13-7 record this season. As for Trotwood-Madison, their win bumped their record up to 15-5.
Wayne strolled past Trotwood-Madison in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 by a score of 70-55. Will Wayne repeat their success, or does Trotwood-Madison have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
