Softball Recap: Jerome Comes Up Short

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Jerome was a bit more limited in their matchup on Saturday. They fell just short of the Burley Bobcats by a score of 3-2. The Tigers just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Jerome saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Peyton Thompson, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Thompson has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

Jerome's loss dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Burley, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Bobcats beat Jerome by a score of 7-6 later that day.
