Volleyball Recap: Spearfish Spartans vs. Brandon Valley Lynx
On Saturday, Spearfish faced Brandon Valley in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Spearfish Spartans took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Brandon Valley Lynx. It was the first time this season that the Spartans let down their fans at home.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-19.

Spearfish's defeat ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 21-7. As for Brandon Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 10-11 record this season.
Spearfish wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Harrisburg on the 26th. Brandon Valley has also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Rapid City Central on the 26th.
