Football Recap: El Cajon Valley Braves vs. Clairemont Chieftains
El Cajon Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 34-8 to the Clairemont Chieftains. The Braves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chieftains apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.
El Cajon Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Clairemont, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. El Cajon Valley will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on West Hills at 7:00 p.m. on October 4th. As for Clairemont, they will face off against Santana at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Santana's defense has only allowed 16.8 points per game this season, so Clairemont's offense will have their work cut out for them.
