Football Recap: Bennett Goforth Key Part of Team Effort in Tigers Win

Whitwell won the last time they faced Jo Byrns and things went their way on Thursday too. The Tigers walked away with a 15-7 victory over the Red Devils.

Whitwell's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bennett Goforth, who rushed for 57 yards and one score.incredibly, Goforth got all that yardage with just one huge run The team also got some help courtesy of Adam McDougal, who rushed for 117 yards while picking up 7.3 yards per carry.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Whitwell was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 249 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2024.
