Basketball Recap: Falls City Takes a Loss

Falls City played a tough match on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 58-17 loss at the hands of the Diller-Odell Griffin. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Griffin: they've now lost four in a row.

Diller-Odell was led to victory by Myleigh Weers and Aidan Mckinney. Weers went 10-for-19 to rack up 27 points and three steals, while Mckinney posted 12 points in addition to eight boards and four steals. Weers is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 11 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Baileigh Vilda, who had five points along with eight rebounds and five steals.

Falls City's loss dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Diller-Odell, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-7.

Falls City wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 52-33 defeat against Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer on the 13th. As for Diller-Odell, they have also already played their next game, a 57-31 win against Exeter-Milligan/Friend on the 14th.
