Liberty waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They put the hurt on the Levelland Lobos with a sharp 16-10 victory. Considering the Patriots have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Jaidon Eddins looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Levi Walker was incredible, going 4-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and five RBI. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (three). Another player making a difference was Gavin McPherson, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple.

Liberty was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .385 or higher in four consecutive games.

Liberty's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-8. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 6.9 runs. As for Levelland, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Liberty will square off against Estacado at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Matadors will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last. As for Levelland, they will challenge Big Spring at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lobos are facing the Steers at the right time seeing as the Steers are stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
