Volleyball Recap: Eldon Wins Going Away Against Lebanon

Eldon hadn't done well against Lebanon recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Mustangs were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Yellowjackets. The Mustangs were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Yellowjackets, so the Mustangs were just returning the favor.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-21, 25-18.

Audrey Dinwiddie paced Eldon's offense, picking up 15 kills. Dinwiddie got some help from Kaydin Davis and her 34 assists. Emma Opie and Sarah Tompkins kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Despite the loss, Lebanon still got an impressive performance from Addi Dent, who had 16 digs.

Eldon now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Lebanon, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 8-11-1 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eldon will host Osage at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Indians will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lebanon, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Ozark at 7:30 p.m.
