Baseball Recap: Montebello Takes Down St. Bonaventure in a Playoff Battle

With a playoff win on the line, Montebello rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They never let the St. Bonaventure Seraphs get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Oilers.

The result came thanks to Isaac Solorzano's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up ten Ks.

At the plate, Montebello's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Nathan Ibarra, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Montebello's win bumped their record up to 20-9. As for St. Bonaventure, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-15.

Coming up, Montebello will challenge Heritage Christian at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Oilers surely won't give up without a fight. St. Bonaventure does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
