Basketball Recap: Booker T. Washington Magnet Takes a Loss

Booker T. Washington Magnet was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Central Lions, falling 73-47. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Yellow Jackets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 51-47 back in December of 2024.

Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Iyanis Wallace, who went 9 for 19 on his way to 20 points and five rebounds. Christian Lawrence was another key player, going 7 of 17 en route to 15 points in addition to eight assists and seven boards.

Booker T. Washington Magnet's loss dropped their record down to 2-20. As for Central, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-6.

Booker T. Washington Magnet has already played their next game, a 51-32 defeat against Holtville on the 31st. Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
