George Stevens Academy faced Jonesport-Beals in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Royals. The Eagles were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Royals, so the Eagles were just returning the favor.

George Stevens Academy never let Jonesport-Beals on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-10, 25-12.

George Stevens Academy's offense was headlined by Taylor Grego and Aurora Simmons, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Acadia Simmons and her 19 assists. Grego was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.

The win made it two in a row for George Stevens Academy and bumps their season record up to 8-3. As for Jonesport-Beals, their defeat ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 7-4.
