Volleyball Recap: Crista Panzner and Sabrina Demarco Secure Win for Bishop Mclaughlin Catholic

Bishop McLaughlin Catholic's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bell Creek Academy Panthers. The Hurricanes haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Bishop McLaughlin Catholic took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-15, 25-15.

Leading Bishop McLaughlin Catholic to victory were Sabrina DeMarco and Crista Panzner. DeMarco had seven aces and three digs, while Panzner had 19 digs and three aces. That's the most aces Panzner has posted since back in October of 2024.

They weren't the only good server: Bishop McLaughlin Catholic was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in three consecutive contests.

The victory got Bishop McLaughlin Catholic back to even at 2-2. As for Bell Creek Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.
