            Washington will head out on the road to  square off against  Louisburg  at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. One thing working in Washington's favor is that they have posted at least ten  runs  in their last three contests.
Washington came out on top against Wyandotte  on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run first inning. The Wildcats blew past the Bulldogs 11-0. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive  victory against them.

 Chris Reno and  Ryan Hooks made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing,  Reno   tossed three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Meanwhile,  Hooks   pitched 1.2 innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in five consecutive appearances. At the plate,  Reno  got on base  in all three of his plate appearances with one  stolen base and one  run, while  Hooks  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  runs. Hooks is becoming a predictor of Washington's success: when he posts  at  least two  runs the team is undefeated (and 4-12 when he doesn't).
 In other batting news,  Eric Fennix was  excellent,  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances with three  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI. That's the most  runs  he has posted since back in April.  Benito Morell also deserves some recognition as  he  snagged his first  stolen base of the season.
 Washington  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .594. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an  OBP of .581 or higher in four consecutive  games.
 Meanwhile,  it was a proper cat-fight when Louisburg took on Eudora on Tuesday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Cardinals by a score of  5-4.
 Washington pushed their record up to 8-12 with the  win, which was their third straight  on the road. Those  road  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Louisburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-5.
