It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Freeport had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They blew past the Sterling Golden Warriors 7-1. The result was nothing new for Freeport, who have now won five games by three goals or more so far this season.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Freeport, bringing their record up to 9-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 21 goals over those four contests. As for Sterling, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-20.

Looking ahead, Freeport will square off against Belvidere North at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Sterling does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
