Soccer Recap: Central Takes a Loss

Central entered their matchup against Chicopee on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Golden Eagles fell just short of the Pacers by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts soccer rankings (they are ranked 68th, while Chicopee are ranked fifth).

Central's loss dropped their record down to 5-2-5. As for Chicopee, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-0-2 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central will face off against Frontier Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Chicopee, they will challenge South Hadley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
