Softball Recap: Parchment Takes a Loss

Parchment had lost seven straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 2-6 to make it eight. They came up short against the Kalamazoo Christian Comets, falling 8-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Comets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-3 on Tuesday.

As for Kalamazoo Christian, the win keeps they at an undefeated 7-0. Considering they have won six contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

For Kalamazoo Christian's part, Alexis Earley was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Reese Gernaat, who went 3-for-4 with three runs.

Looking ahead, Parchment will venture away from home to challenge Allegan at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Kalamazoo Christian, they will host Pennfield at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
