Somerville fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Snook on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They lost 22-16 to the Bluejays. On the bright side, the 16- run performance marked the Yeguas' highest-scoring game to date.

Kaleb Leang was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in five of his six plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Esqueda, who scored four runs while getting on base in four of his six plate appearances.

This is the second loss in a row for Somerville and nudges their season record down to 2-9. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Snook, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-14.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Bluejays beat Somerville by a score of 8-7 on Friday.
