Basketball Recap: Port Allen Takes a Loss

Port Allen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against Madison Prep Academy, falling 57-19. While losing is never fun, the Pelicans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 237th, while Madison Prep Academy are ranked 38th).

Port Allen's loss dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Madison Prep Academy, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-13.

Port Allen wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 62-25 defeat against Brusly on the 7th. As for Madison Prep Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-6 victory against GEO Next Generation on the 7th.
