Basketball Recap: Conotton Valley Takes a Loss

Conotton Valley suffered their biggest loss since December 7, 2024 on Wednesday. They were beaten by the Strasburg-Franklin Tigers 60-23. While losing is never fun, the Rockets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 672nd, while the Tigers are ranked 69th).

Conotton Valley dropped their record down to 3-9 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Strasburg-Franklin, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 13-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Conotton Valley has already played their next game (against Linsly), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Strasburg-Franklin will square off against Tuscarawas Central Catholic at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Strasburg-Franklin's defense has only allowed 29.6 points per game this season, so Tuscarawas Central Catholic's offense will have their work cut out for them.
