Basketball Recap: Crossroads Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Crossroads Christian Academy lost against Southside Christian back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Crossroads Christian Academy Crusaders might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Southside Christian Patriots an easy 39-19 win. The Crusaders were down 33-13 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Southside Christian had a senior duo take command as Ani Cowa posted 11 points and Svannah Banach put up ten points. Kaleigh Hardy was another key player, putting up six points.

Crossroads Christian Academy now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Southside Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2.

The future could be bright for both Crossroads Christian Academy and Southside Christian: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Crossroads Christian Academy will try to hand Victory Christian Academy their fourth-straight loss when the two meet at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Southside Christian will try to hand Brunswick Christian Academy their third-straight defeat when the two meet at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
