Softball Recap: Hobbton Takes a Loss

Hobbton managed to slip by Lakewood the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Hobbton lost 18-7 to Lakewood on Tuesday. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Leopards apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Miley McLamb was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2. Rubi Reyes also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Hobbton is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8. As for Lakewood, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-6-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Hobbton is set to face off against their familiar foe Union at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Lakewood will challenge rival Rosewood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
