Lapel waltzed into their match on Monday with 13 straight wins... but they left with 14. They never let the Muncie Central Bearcats get on the board and left with a 12-0 win. The Bulldogs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bearcats, too.

Jakoby Nunley tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over five innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Lapel let Rylie Hudson and Quade Hall run wild. Hudson went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI, while Hall went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Hall has posted over his last 11 contests. Camden Novak was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Lapel always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Muncie Central only posted an OBP of .188.

Lapel pushed their record up to 24-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Muncie Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-19 record this season.

Lapel will be playing at home against Anderson at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Indians have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season. As for Muncie Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Alexandria-Monroe at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
