Volleyball Recap: Clinton Christian Academy Find Success

Clinton Christian Academy hadn't done well against Christian Learning Center recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Patriots walked away with a 3-1 win over the Mustangs. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Patriots also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Clinton Christian Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-19, 25-23, 25-19.

Among those leading the charge was Carissa Compton, who had 26 digs. Those 26 digs gave her a new career-high. Mayme Hyke was another key player, getting seven aces and three digs.

The victory got Clinton Christian Academy back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Clinton Christian Academy will venture away from home to square off against El Dorado Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Christian Learning Center, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Center Place at 6:00 p.m. on September 12.
