The Columbia Cougars had a rough go of it last month when they matched up with the West Essex Knights and had to endure more of the same on Tuesday. Columbia took a hard 51-35 fall against West Essex.

The Cougars' overall record fell to 11-4. The Knights' victory brought them up to 11-6.

The Cougars will square off against Nutley on Thursday. Columbia is at home for the game, a silver lining they hope will compensate for their disadvantage in the MaxPreps rankings. As for West Essex, they will face off against Glen Ridge on Thursday. West Essex won't have the home-court advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
