Baseball Recap: South Albany Comes Up Short

South Albany was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Newberg Tigers.

South Albany's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Newberg, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

South Albany and Newberg will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Redhawks will take on rival Corvallis at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Newberg is set to face off against their familiar foe Liberty at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
