Softball Recap: Moriarty Comes Up Short

Moriarty has relied on a stalwart pitcher averaging 3.87 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Monday. They fell 11-8 to the Los Alamos Hilltoppers. The defeat continues a trend for the Pintos in their meetings with the Hilltoppers: they've now lost six in a row.

Sienna Rios made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. Another player making a difference was Leah Pacheco, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Moriarty's loss dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Los Alamos, they now have a winning record of 6-5-1.

While Moriarty had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
