Baseball Recap: Alpaugh Buffalos vs. Kings Christian Crusaders

Alpaugh had lost seven straight at home dating back to last season, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 0-12 to make it eight. They came up short against the Kings Christian Crusaders, falling 21-4. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Crusaders this season, with their most recent defeat being a 13-0 loss back in April.

As for Kings Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-10-1 record this season. The result was nothing new for Kings Christian, who have now won seven games by six runs or more so far this season.

For Kings Christian's part, they let Daniel Dinkins and Rusty Martin run wild. Dinkins got on base in five of his eight plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one double, while Martin went 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. Kings Christian is 4-1 when Dinkins posts two or more runs, but 4-9-1 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Caiden Irwin, who got on base in four of his seven plate appearances with three runs and two RBI.
