Football Game Preview: Hondo Valley vs. Floyd

Floyd have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. On Friday they take on Hondo Valley at 7:00 PM. If you head out to watch the game, expect to stay the whole 48 minutes: the MaxPreps national rankings predict a close match.

Two weeks ago, Floyd couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They might be aching after a bruising 30-64 loss to Carrizozo.

In almost any game, would all but guarantee a win. Not in this one. Hondo Valley took a hard 58-73 fall against Grady/San Jon. This makes it the second defeat in a row for Hondo Valley.
