Basketball Recap: Buchholz's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Buchholz lost against Gainesville back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Buchholz Bobcats took a 54-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Gainesville Hurricanes.

Buchholz lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Evan Walker, who went 5 of 10 en route to 13 points and five rebounds. Lucas Bhatia was another key player, putting up five points in addition to six steals and five assists.

Buchholz's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-8. As for Gainesville, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-6.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Newberry the next time they take the court. Buchholz will head out to face Newberry at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Gainesville will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
