Basketball Game Preview: Cleveland Indians vs. Grand Oaks Grizzlies

Cleveland is 0-5 against Grand Oaks since January of 2023 but things could change on Saturday. The Cleveland Indians will take on the Grand Oaks Grizzlies at 1:00 p.m.

Last Wednesday, Cleveland ended up a good deal behind Oak Ridge and lost 66-47. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1037th, while the War Eagles are ranked 482nd).

Meanwhile, Grand Oaks had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.8 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Wednesday. They walked away with a 64-54 victory over the Highlanders.

Grand Oaks is also on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record this season. As for Cleveland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-18.

Cleveland took a serious blow against Grand Oaks in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, falling 80-32. Can Cleveland avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
