Volleyball Recap: Anclote Takes a Loss

Anclote was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Fivay Falcons. The Sharks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Falcons earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Lexi Miller paced Anclote's offense, picking up six kills. Miller got some help from Hailey Smith and her seven assists. Finally, Cady Pavao kept Anclote's defense grounded, leading the team with 15 blocks.

Anclote's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Fivay, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-10.

Anclote wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Pasco on the 26th. As for Fivay, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Zephyrhills on the 26th.
