Gray-New Gloucester's and Lake Region's matchup last Friday was up for grabs at halftime, but Gray-New Gloucester were thoroughly outmatched in the second half. Gray-New Gloucester suffered a grim 12-35 defeat to Lake Region. Junior Scott Lynch and senior Connor Myatt were two go-getters for Gray-New Gloucester despite the loss. The former rushed for 96 yards and 1 touchdown, while the latter picked up 69 yards on the ground and accumulated 129 passing yards.
Meanwhile, Maranacook found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 7-37 punch to the gut against Winthrop/Monmouth Academy. This makes it the second defeat in a row for Maranacook.
