The California Grizzlies will challenge the San Ramon Valley Wolves at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
San Ramon Valley will take on a team with plenty of momentum: California extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday. The Grizzlies were the clear victors by an 11-5 margin over Monte Vista.

California let Jayda Crosby and Hailey King run wild. Crosby went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double, while King went 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave King a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Golde, who went 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
California was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .382. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in eight consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, San Ramon Valley waltzed into their game on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They blew past the Wildcats 13-2.
Lila McLeod looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 16 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Addie Layous was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times she's played. Aryana Hodjat was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
San Ramon Valley pushed their record up to 13-6-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for California, their victory bumped their record up to 14-6.
Both California and San Ramon Valley just can't seem to miss. The Grizzlies have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.9 hits per game. However, it's not like San Ramon Valley struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.3 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
