Baseball Recap: Wayne County Comes Up Short

Wayne County was the 12-0 winner over Clinton County when they last played one another back in May of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Cardinals fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 4-3 on Monday. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wayne County's record is now 19-10. As for Clinton County, their victory bumped their record up to 20-14.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wayne County will head out to take on Somerset at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Clinton County, they will venture away from home to challenge Campbellsville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
