Softball Recap: Beau Chene Gators vs. Catholic - N.I. Panthers
Beau Chene won the last time they faced Catholic - N.I. and things went their way on Monday too. The Gators walked away with an 8-5 victory over the Panthers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Gators.
Laci Faul made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up five earned runs off ten hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
In other batting news, Beau Chene got a big performance out of Jailah Rideau, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Anna Bergeron, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.
