Baseball Recap: Strasburg-Franklin Comes Up Short

Strasburg-Franklin lost against Garaway back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Tigers took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pirates. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Strasburg-Franklin saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avery Keffer, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI. Brody Baughmam was another, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs.

Strasburg-Franklin now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Garaway, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Strasburg-Franklin will take on Conotton Valley at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rockets have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season. As for Garaway, they will face off against Hiland at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Pirates are on a seven-game streak of home wins, the Hawks a five-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
