Softball Recap: Burbank Bulldogs vs. Alamo Heights Mules        
        
		
            
 If Burbank was feeling good  off their  19-0 takedown of Lanier last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Burbank Bulldogs took  a  5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Alamo Heights Mules on Friday. The  loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Burbank in their matchups with Alamo Heights: they've now lost seven in a row.
 Burbank saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Savanah Salazar, who  went 2-for-3 with a  double and  an  RBI.
 On Alamo Heights' side,  Clairee Embrey made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. Embrey has been consistent recently: she hasn't  tossed less than seven  strikeouts in nine consecutive pitching appearances. Embrey was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-3 with a  triple, a  run,  and  an  RBI.
 Burbank's defeat dropped their record down to 13-10-1. As for Alamo Heights, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won ten of their last 11 matchups,  which provided a massive bump to their 18-10-1 record  this season.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Burbank will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on MacArthur at 7:15  p.m.  on April 18th. As for Alamo Heights, they will head out on the road to  take on  Highlands at 7:15  p.m.  on Tuesday. Alamo Heights will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
