Fitzgerald is 9-0-1 against Dodge County since March of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against the Dodge County Indians at 5:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Fitzgerald is headed into their home opener looking to turn things around after starting their season on the road. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of East Laurens on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Dodge County took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Tuesday. They never let Metter onto the board and left with a 1-0 win. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Indians were the better team in the second half.
