Basketball Game Preview: Middle College Cougars vs. Math & Science College Preparatory Sharks

Middle College and Math & Science College Preparatory are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2018, but not for long. The Middle College Cougars will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Math & Science College Preparatory Sharks at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Middle College has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with four straight losses, while Math & Science College Preparatory will come in with four straight wins.

On Wednesday, Middle College didn't have quite enough to beat Larchmont Charter and fell 50-48.

Meanwhile, Math & Science College Preparatory humbled Stella High Charter Academy with an 87-13 victory. The Sharks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 25 points or more this season.

Math & Science College Preparatory's victory was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-3. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 36.2 points. As for Middle College, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Middle College was dealt a bruising 58-28 loss at the hands of Math & Science College Preparatory in their previous matchup back in January. Can Middle College avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
